This one-hectare urban space is the centrepiece of South Park, a high-density commercial and residential hub on the site of a former Nestlé factory south of Manila, which also includes the Altura residential towers.

 

The park is planned as a daily multi-use public space, as well as a venue for public art and special events, including a weekend fresh market. Land Design One designed the space to accommodate varying intensities and types of use, utilising subtle grade changes, gently meandering forms and patterns, and sloping vertical structures to soften and enhance
the site’s presence within a dense high rise location.
